We have been thinking about size this week and distinguishing between big, medium and small. The story of ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ has helped us learn and focused our activities.

The children have made bear faces, bear sandwiches, bear characters and learnt the repeated refrains from the story. They have also enjoyed exploring, making and eating porridge themselves.

Our one-to-one activity has given the children chance to demonstrate their learning using pictures from the story. They were able to speak about what they could remember, describe the main characters and what happens.

On Friday we made, stretched and enjoyed playing with slime!

Next week: shape recognition, making arrangements with shapes and shapes in the environment.
